Stars

I hear that stars can be drowned by the light

I think people can be the same

At home the stars still remain bright

 But we were overcame

I hear in some places the constellations

Are like paint splatters across a midnight canvas

The stars have been stared at for generations

We fall in love with that madness

With suns we can never touch

Nebulas and nova’s we will never truly see

With galaxies in which we are not even a speck of dust

In truth we are just so tiny.

So whenever I feel I am too small

Unable to achieve anything I dream

I remember that is just our part in it all

And nothing is really as it seems

For this weeks theme Davika suggested we write about something, anything which inspires me. So here is a poem about the stars. Enjoy!

I really fell in love with these lines.

With suns we can never touch

Nebulas and nova’s we will never truly see

With galaxies in which we are not even a speck of dust

They are so far out there, but my soul longs to touch them.
